With the advent of the Internet, free work At Home Jobs are now becoming more and more popular. But one nagging question remains, are these so-called” free” work at home jobs really free? Because along with the increase in the number of work at home job seekers are the work at home job scammers who are just out to get rip you off and take your money. So how do you know that these positions and opportunities are really what they claim to be? And how do you protect yourself from scammers who prey on your desire to find a job which you can perform from home?
Common sense is the primary issue here. Before you jump into any of those online offers, be advised that there are a few things you need to keep in mind. As you start getting serious about earning a living at home (and it can be done), know that you’ll never find the perfect job match for you if your job search methods are those that have been proven not to work. Some examples of these fruitless activities are listed below:
Starting a free work at home job search without a clear goal or plan but still expecting to somehow “run into” the perfect home-based opportunity. This might seem like a dream-come-true to you, but it’s not likely that it’s ever going to happen. Remember, if you don’t know what you’re looking for, you’ll never know if you find it!
Surfing from one free work at home job board and home-based career sites to another. Although this might seem like a great idea as a way to do your research, the end result will be the same. You will have wasted hours surfing through sites which do not give you the guarantee that what they’re offering is legitimate.
Chasing after and buying into promises of “easy money” and “quick riches”. This is the fastest method for you to end up getting scammed. If you auto-submit your resume to thousands of unknown employers for a work at home job, you will be often giving up very valuable information. And even if they don’t get your money, they now have your email address, which can then be sold forwarded hacked and harassed. It’s not supposed to happen, but it does every day.
There are countless other ways for you to waste time and effort while you search for work at home jobs. Nearly every website offers some new twist to soak up your time and energy. If you have done any or all of the above, do not fret. You’re not alone. In fact, a whopping 95% of free work at home jobseekers engage in such activities as they search for that perfect job.
So now that you know how these things can prove to be very unproductive, here are the things that will help you find that free work at home job you’ve always wanted. All you need are five factors and you’ll be all set: knowledge, commitment, skills and preferences, personal presentation, and someone who’s done it before.
